Bucharest, 13 July 2022 – Simtel Team (BVB: SMTL), a Romanian engineering and technology company listed on the AeRO mar-ket of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, built 31 photovoltaic power plants for Dedeman, the largest Ro-manian entrepreneurial company by turnover, in more than three years of collaboration. The total capaci-ty installed by Simtel on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers is 8.8 MWp, of which 2.8 MWp, representing 7,467 photovoltaic panels, have only been installed in the last 12 months in ten loca-tions.

We are proud and honored by the collaboration with Dedeman that began more than three years ago. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to support the company on its road to energy efficiency through building photovoltaic power plants and that we can continue to contribute to achieving Dede-man’s sustainability goals. At the same time, last year’s decision of Paval Holding to join Simtel as a shareholder, before the company’s listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, rep-resented a confirmation for us of Dragos and Adrian Paval’s trust in the team and the development po-tential of our business. We thank them for our collaboration so far and look forward to our partnership, which aims to transform Dedeman into one of the greenest companies in Romania,” stated Iulian Nedea, co-founder and CEO of Simtel Team.

The collaboration between Simtel and Dedeman started in 2019, the first projects being related to the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of three Dedeman stores in Bucharest – Pallady, Pan-telimon and Colentina. Subsequently, the two companies continued to work together, and today, the photovoltaic plants installed by Simtel are on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers throughout the country – Agigea, Alba-Iulia, Baia Mare, Bistrița, Blejoi, Brașov, București, Buzău, Călărași, Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Focșani, Galați, Lugoj, Pitești, Ploiești, Râmnicu-Vâlcea, Reșița, Sf. Gheorghe, Slobozia, Târgu-Jiu, Techirghiol, Timișoara, Turda.

In Bucharest, in addition to the three locations mentioned, the company also installed photovoltaic pow-er plants on the roofs of Dedeman stores in Băneasa and Ghencea. Moreover, in Baneasa is also in-stalled the largest capacity of 461.16 KWp, representing 1,229 photovoltaic panels. In the last 12 months, the total energy produced by the operational photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of Dede-man stores and logistics centers has been over 10,000 MWh, and the emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere have been reduced by approximately 6,200 tons.

In addition to installing and commissioning photovoltaic power plants, the Simtel team is also responsi-ble for the maintenance of the photovoltaic panels. The maintenance process involves online monitor-ing, corrective remedies of any kind carried out within a maximum of six hours since the occurrence of any event, and annual reviews to prevent any other potential unpleasant situations in the future. In addi-tion, in the last 12 months, Simtel has installed 45 charging stations for electric cars in the parking lots of Dedeman stores, where it is responsible for their operation and maintenance.

Caring for the environment has always been one of our organization’s priorities. The common goals and values we share with Simtel Team have been the foundation of the solid partnership we have built to-gether in recent years. We thank them for their support and dedication and for the fact that they are next to us in our journey of becoming a green company, characterized by concrete actions and ongoing ef-forts aimed at sustainable development,” stated Dragos Paval, Chairman of Dedeman.

Regarding the current activity, by the end of the year, the two companies aim to complete the installa-tion of photovoltaic power plants at the Dedeman logistics centers in Pantelimon and Bacau, as well as on the roofs of stores in Barlad, Bacau, Slatina and Petrosani.

At the same time, Paval Holding recently set up the company Grunman Energy, which will produce electricity through photovoltaic power plants installed on the roofs of the seven Dedeman logistics centers in the country. In the project’s first phase, the installed capacity will be 35 MWp, but in the medium and long term, the goal is to reach a total installed capacity of over 400 MW.

In 2022, Simtel Team targets operating revenues of 103.7 million lei, EBITDA of 14.9 million lei, and a net profit of 11.6 million lei. The increase in financial results will be achieved with the support of regional centers opened by the company in Cluj, Timisoara, and Bacau, through which will be accessed several projects at the national level.

Simtel Team is listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of July 1, 2021. Currently, the company has a market capitalization of approximately 160 million lei.
