Simtel (BVB: SMTL), an engineering and technology group listed on the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and one of Romania’s leading players in the renewable energy sector, reports consolidated operating revenues of 326.7 million lei in the first nine months of 2025, up 88% compared to the same period of 2024. Of this amount, consolidated turnover reached 322 million lei, a 96% increase year-on-year. The consolidated net profit for the first nine months of 2025 stood at 2.7 million lei, down 69% versus the same period of 2024, as the majority of deliveries and collections are scheduled for the final part of the year.
“The results for the first nine months reflect the intense pace of activity this year and the natural structure of our projects, in which a significant share of deliveries and collections is scheduled for the last months of the year. Beyond the evolution of financial indicators, an essential highlight of this period is the new contracts signed between July and today, with a total value of approximately 670 million lei (excluding VAT). These strengthen our commercial position, provide strong visibility on future revenues, and ensure a solid pipeline for 2026–2027. Looking toward the end of 2025, we maintain a positive outlook on turnover and anticipate a slight downward adjustment of the operating margin, by 1–2 percentage points, in line with sector developments and the accelerated delivery of large-scale projects. Our objective remains to further enhance operational efficiency and to support the implementation of ongoing projects, in accordance with the Group’s budget planning and strategic priorities ,” stated Mihai Tudor, CEO al Simtel.
In 2025, the company continues to implement photovoltaic park projects of various capacities, focusing primarily on large-scale developments while maintaining its traditional market of small and medium-sized rooftop and field projects, where it continues to collaborate with both long-standing partners and new business areas. According to the company, there is a clear momentum toward the development of large-scale standalone energy storage projects, as well as projects involving the hybridization of existing energy production capacities or the direct construction of new hybrid systems. Simtel expects this trend to continue and even accelerate throughout next year.
Regarding its proprietary projects, the company estimates an installed capacity of 64.4 MWp to be operational by the end of the year, generating over 85 GWh annually. Currently, Simtel is developing nine photovoltaic parks at different implementation stages, which, once completed, will have a total installed capacity of 153 MWp and an annual production exceeding 200 GWh.
In parallel, the company continues to expand its energy storage park portfolio. Currently, Simtel is developing five such projects, which upon completion will have a total installed power of 161 MW and a storage capacity of 322 MWh.
As for the electricity and natural gas supply business, managed through G-Energy Solutions, a company in which Simtel holds a 62% stake, the accelerated activity from the first two quarters continued during Q3 2025. This led to the company exceeding its turnover target as of September 30, 2025. Moreover, during Q3 2025, G-Energy Solutions carried out its first natural gas deliveries to end customers.
From an operational perspective, in October 2025, the Group established a new international subsidiary in Stockholm, Sweden – Simtel Nordics. The decision to set up Simtel Nordics represents an organic step in the Group’s international growth strategy, aiming to strengthen Simtel’s presence across the Nordic region. Through this expansion, the company seeks to transfer the technical expertise and know-how accumulated in Romania, particularly in energy storage (BESS) and operation and maintenance (O&M) services, to a market highly receptive to innovative energy efficiency solutions.
Also in October, Simtel ranked among the top 20 fastest-growing companies in Europe over the past decade, according to the “FT Ranking: Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions” compiled by Financial Times and Statista. Only six Romanian companies were included in this ranking of 300 European organizations that achieved significant annual growth between 2014 and 2024, despite challenges such as the pandemic, energy crises, and accelerated digital transformation.
