Simtel (BVB: SMTL), an engineering and technology group listed on the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and one of the national leaders in the renewable energy sector, reports consolidated operating revenues of 192.8 million lei in the first half of 2025, up 81% compared to H1 2024. Of these revenues, consolidated turnover amounted to 190 million lei, a 91% increase compared to the same period last year, mainly driven by the contribution of GES Furnizare, which generated revenues of 120.6 million lei. Consolidated net profit for the first six months of 2025 was 2.4 million lei, a 70% decrease compared to H1 2024, in the context in which most deliveries and collections are scheduled for the second half of the year.
“The first half of the year was intense, bringing both challenges and important steps forward. These financial results reflect only partially our activity in the first part of 2025, which includes the progress of our own projects, the consolidation we are achieving at the level of our team and partnerships, as well as the signing of significant contracts. The second half of the year will be marked by deliveries and the commissioning of major capacities, which will support the increase of profitability at the budgeted level. At the same time, we continue to develop new projects, including in the field of energy storage, a key segment for the stability of the energy system and a real long-term opportunity for us. Our objective is to remain consistent with the strategy we have adopted, focused on responsible development, strong partnerships, and adapting to new trends in energy ,” stated Mihai Tudor, CEO of Simtel.
In the first half of 2025, Simtel Team S.A. generated operating revenues of 65 million lei, GES Furnizare – 120.6 million lei, and ANT Power Energy – 3.6 million lei. Other entities within the group, such as Agora Robotics and Custom Software Solutions, still in the development stage, did not record significant revenues.
In addition to the financial results, the company marked several key moments this year. Simtel signed a significant contract with Energy Capital Group S.R.L., owned by Mogan Bucharest SRL, part of the GÜRİŞ Group, worth 168.9 million lei (excluding VAT), for the delivery and implementation of a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of up to 196.4 MWh in Mehedinți County. The company also signed a contract of approximately 96.5 million lei (excluding VAT) with Verbund Wind Power Romania, for the design, construction, and commissioning of a 60.2 MWp photovoltaic park in Casimcea, Tulcea County.
Regarding the activity of supplying EPC-type solutions to clients, in 2025 the company continues the implementation of photovoltaic park projects with varied capacities, focusing on large-scale projects while also maintaining its traditional market of small and medium-sized rooftop and field projects. As for its own projects, by the end of the year the company estimates to have an installed capacity of 64.4 MWp operational, which will generate over 85 GWh annually. Currently, Simtel is developing nine photovoltaic parks at various stages of implementation, which, once completed, will have a total installed capacity of 153 MWp and an annual production of over 200 GWh.
At the same time, the company continues to develop its portfolio of energy storage parks. Currently, Simtel is developing five such projects, which, once finalized, will have a total installed capacity of 161 MW and a storage capacity of 322 MWh.
Regarding the outlook for 2025, Simtel maintains the budget announced at the beginning of the year, which forecasts operating revenues of 502.7 million lei and a net profit of 45.6 million lei. This projection takes into account the solid portfolio of projects under implementation or in the final contracting stages.
