G-Energy Solutions, the new brand under which GES Furnizare operates, part of Simtel, a Romanian entrepreneurial group listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and active in green energy, industrial automation, telecom infrastructure, and digitalization, announces the launch of a new strategic green energy procurement program through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), targeting a total volume of 1 TWh/year (equivalent to 1,000 GWh/year) from wind and hydro sources. The program includes physical PPAs with durations between 7 and 10 years. The new contracts will cover both operational renewable capacities and new projects scheduled to become operational within the next 24 months.

“Romania’s energy market is at an inflection point. Beyond current volatility, there is a clear and growing long-term demand from large industrial consumers for secure, stable, and predictably priced green energy. At the same time, renewable energy developers need bankable partners to provide financial visibility and stable cash flows. Our role is to build these bridges of trust, to turn hesitation into opportunity, and to send a clear signal that the PPA market can work in Romania, when there is commitment, expertise, and strong long-term partnerships,” stated Ionut Vasilica, co-founder and CEO of G-Energy Solutions.

G-Energy Solutions has already demonstrated its commitment to long-term partnerships by signing three major PPAs since the company’s launch in 2024, with a total volume of 200 GWh. The new procurement program continues this trajectory and aims to expand the sustainable collaboration model at a time when the energy transition is becoming increasingly relevant both economically and strategically at the regional level. In this context, the company takes on an active role in facilitating the relationship between producers and large consumers, contributing to the development of a stable and predictable framework for both parties.

This phase also marks the official launch of the new brand identity of GES Furnizare under the name G-Energy Solutions. The name change reflects the company’s strategic direction of national and regional consolidation through the expansion of integrated solutions tailored to large industrial consumers. G-Energy Solutions already operates in Romania and the Republic of Moldova through dedicated entities and has a clear vision for further regional expansion in the next five years.

For Simtel, G-Energy Solutions’ involvement in signing long-term PPAs represents a strategic step in expanding its portfolio of services across the entire renewable energy value chain. This approach strengthens the Group’s positioning as an integrated green energy player capable of delivering end-to-end services, from consultancy, permitting, design, engineering, and construction to maintenance, operation, measurement, control, and energy supply to end consumers.
